Also, the technology is inefficient and uses a lot of energy. Tried that and it helped but it's still there. Most halogen lights have a life of around 2,000 hours, which is a fraction of the life of LEDs and HIDs. TRS suggested I add RFI cores to get rid of the interference. So overall we are putting lesser load on the battery / alternator compared to the stock 55W halogens. Just wondering where you placed the ballasts and if you get any FM radio interference? Buy a real 55 watt bulb and you will notice quite a bit more light output and cooler temperatures. I really liked how well the front came off of these cars. Most hid kits come with cheap 35 watt bulbs which are overdriven to 55 watts. Did you guys convert to led? What ones did you get. The best candidates are those with projector type designs which also have a built-in horizontal cutoff blocker. I havent seen a single halogen setup that beats our OEM 4300k HID. Keep in mind the prices we are mentioning here are based on the D2S size, and the D1S, D3S, and so on will typically cost a bit more. you have to get the corresponding 55w ballasts if you change the bulb from 35 to 55w. Wish I replaced the drl with LEDs as they are more yellow than the hids now and stand out. A 35W HID will put out 3x more than a 55W halogen, I can only imagine what a 55W HID will do However I just want to add that these HID bulbs are not suitable for just any ol bike. I wired it like the guide on the hybrid forum and it's great because you can run fogs with the high beams but sucks cause the fogs are always on with the headlights. They look more yellow in the pic but they are white.
